Motor cycle wreck caused by deer

The Missouri State Highway Patrol believes a deer triggered a motorcycle wreck in Livingston County this week.

The Patrol says 36-year-old Zachary Marrs of Trenton was driving a 2001 Yamaha 'V' Star on 65 Highway, 11 miles south of Trenton. Authorities say Marrs was ejected from the Yamaha after striking a deer in the roadway at 10:15 Monday night.

Marrs, who wasn't wearing a helmet, was taken by Life-Flight Eagle to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City.
